Medical Billing

Medical Billing can include any or all of the following:

  • Pre-Appointment: checking eligibility (including checking to see if Coordination of Benefits may be an issue), creating quotes, checking to see if prior authorization is required, starting that prior authorization.
  • Post-Appointment: coding the claims, sending the claims, ensuring that the claims are received, sending medical records if they are requested, appealing or refiling denied claims, and posting the explanation of benefits (EOB's) or electronic remittance advice (ERA's). Claims can also deny due to the patient's Coordination of Benefits (COB).
  • Insurance A/R
  • Patient statements
  • Patient refunds 
  • If you get bills from a lab, we can help with that too.

Credentialing

  • Do you have a new provider joining an existing practice and they want to be in-network with insurance companies?
  • Do you have an existing provider that wants to be in-network with a new Insurance Company?
  • Are you a brand new practice that wants to join the networks of and be in-network with multiple insurance companies?
  • Has it been several years since you were credentialed? Have you been contacted that you need to be recredentialed? Every couple of years, providers may need recredentialing to maintain their network statuses with the payors or Insurance Companies with whom they are credentialed and contracted. 
  • Are you wondering what other Insurance companies might be out there? We can take a look at the insurance companies you work with and let you know if we're aware of any you could be missing!

Fee Schedule Negotiations

Do you want the payors/Insurance Companies that you have contract agreements with to pay you more? We can advocate on your behalf and see what other offer we can get from your existing payors/Insurance Companies.

Interpreting

We offer remote (phone call or video chat) interpreting services, billed by the minute. This maximizes our time and your money so that a patient can check-in at your front desk, sit down and wait to be called back, get triaged by the nurse or medical assistant, then wait for the provider. By billing by the minute, we can be there for the check-in, the triage, and the time with the provider without having to be there for the waiting.

Staff Training

We can train members of your staff in any of the following:

  • Checking Insurance Eligibility
  • Checking to see if Coordination of Benefits (COB) could be a problem
  • How to fix coordination of benefits
  • Creating quotes
  • Checking to see if prior authorization might be required
  • Starting that Prior Authorization
  • Identifying claims that insurance companies are requesting medical records for
  • Submitting medical records
  • Submitting reconsiderations, disputes, and appeals directly to insurance companies. 

Consulting

Not sure what you need? Maybe we can figure it out together. For example, maybe you need help with Patient statements but only for people who don't speak English? We can help with that! Maybe you need help scheduling patients who don't speak English. We can interpret on that phone call to help your front desk team schedule those appointments. We can mix and match our services to help you in whatever area you may need support.
